This Pumpkin Patch is bustling with cute details and striking quilting. The pumpkin blocks feature raw edge appliqué, finished with pinking shears, around the inside curves. The layered appliqué gives the pumpkins dimension and texture. In addition to the pumpkins, there is charming quilting reminiscent of leaves and vines you might find in a pumpkin patch

Hoop 5x7 (if you have larger hoops bring those to class, just in case)
Wool batting (used for trapunto effect, optional) craft size
Battilizer - 5 yard package
Water Soluble thread
MonoPoly invisible thread (used for quilting so not necessary to bring to class)
Fabric:
Background - 1/3 yard
Pumpkins - one FQ each of light, medium, and dark orange
Block #2 - one FQ
Stems - one FQ (or brown scraps from your stash)
Border - 1/3 yard
Backing - 2/3 yard
Binding - 1/4 yard
Embroidery threads:
Orange thread to coordinate with the pumpkin fabrics (just pick one thread color, that’s all we’ll use)
Green thread for the vines
Brown thread matching the stem fabric
Thread to match your background fabric
Thread to match your border fabric
Thread to match your fabric for block #2
