Marking pen or pencil along with tool box
It will help if you have fabrics pre cut and curved units already made from the heat n bond.
This is a quilt as you go project so bring some thread to match you backing and the curved units unless you want to use all one color
November Table Runner Project is called Playful Placemats
These are really fun to make. all designs start with the same basic pattern. In class you will be able to make one place mat of your choice. You must have the book before you come to class because you will need to trace the pattern for your place mat before coming to class. I use freezer paper to make my patterns, however, use whatever is comfortable for you.
Playful Place Mats book (12.99) We only have one left in the store, so if you are coming to class, please call to let us order the book for you.
You will need the book to determine the amount if fabric you need for your design.
All versions will need a fat quarter for the coordinating napkin
2 fat quarters for body and back or 1/2 yard fabric if using the same fabric on each side
18" x 18" batting or fusible fleece
Threads for quilting and top stitching
Heat n Bond if you are doing appliques
Note: if anyone is doing the Dragonfly or the Bumble Bee, the author use striped fabrics and preprinted flying geese. I made a template for paper piecing the dragonfly, you can copy mine. The bumble bee I used 2 1/2 inch strips ( cut one 2 1/2 x WOF strip of black and yellow and one 4" x WOF strip black to make her body. How to put them together I will share in class. Just make sure to bring enough scraps to make these designs.
Don't forget your tool box
