Everyone loves this bag! Perfectly sized for use as a tote or purse. A very popular design. This bag has one outer pocket and pockets all the way around the inside.
Please have your fabric and Bosal or Pellon cut before coming to class.
Fabrics needed to make this tote:
Front and back top main section - 1/3 yd
Front and Back contrasting bottom piece, handles, side ties, button loop and front pocket lining - 2/3 yd
Front pocket – one fat quarter
Lining for the entire inside – ½ yd
Inside pockets – 1/3 yd
Cover for bottom insert – use scraps from above pieces
One 1” or larger button to match fabric design or a covered button
Bosal 326/426LF Light Fusible Batting – approx. 2 yds (If you want it to have more body you will need to use 2 pieces of the batting on the front and back of the bag. I used Pellon Fusible Fleece instead of the Bosal)
Matte board or foam board for the bottom of the bag.
If you want to quilt your bag you will need thread to match your fabric.
